We knew when we started working on the design of Jade + Tanner's master bedroom, we needed to create a space that was both beautiful and relaxing. With two small children, sleep is surely minimal, so having a cozy place to regroup before the start of another crazy day is essential. We teamed up with Burke Decor on some of the items in the space - they were looking for something neutral, but also dynamic with varying textures.
The space was furnished with the key pieces when we arrived, the bed, nightstands, and a media console, but was lacking the accent pieces to really pull the space together.
We began pulling the space together with products Burke Decor, and 3D to-scale renderings of the room to figure out the best layout, and scale of new furniture. Renderings also help determine the location for the new pendants, and how many recessed lights would be best to install.
Once we presented the designs to Jade and Tanner through the drawings and samples, we landed on art with more of a textural design, chairs with a darker sage fabric, and a soft rug to lay under the bed from Jaipur Living. The Sisal Wallpaper was a great way to make a statement, but still stay within the very neutral palette Jade and Tanner were craving. The pendant lights again had a woven texture and were more natural in color to contrast the wallpaper behind.
After hanging drapery, and styling their room including new bedding, pillows, and vases, they were ready for baby Brooks' arrival.
Check back in next week to see the reveal of Jade + Tanner's new home office!
XO,
Caitlin
